Who is responsible?
Zac Cooke, trading as Zac Cooke Photography, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website and photography enquiries. Our business contact address is Zac Cooke Photography, The Two Pines, Sandwich Industrial Estate, Sandwich, CT13 9LY. Contact info@zaccookephotography.co.uk or call 07525 825621 with a privacy question or request.
What information is used, and why?
When you enquire, you provide your name, email address, chosen service, message and any date or location you choose to share. These details are used to answer you, discuss availability and prepare a quote. This is processing to take steps at your request before entering a contract. Please avoid including sensitive personal information or unnecessary details about other people.
If you book, contact details, booking arrangements and photographs or films are used to provide the agreed service under your contract. Business and payment records may also be retained to meet legal obligations. Routine administration, protecting the website and dealing with disputes may rely on legitimate interests, balanced against your rights. An enquiry is not a subscription to marketing.
Photographs and films
Images can identify people. Client delivery and public portfolio use are different purposes. Before a job, a written contract confirms the agreed use of the photographs. That agreement does not automatically remove the privacy rights of other people pictured. For questions about an image of you on this website, permissions, or a request to remove it, contact Zac using the details above and identify the photograph or page. Public images can be viewed by anyone visiting the site.
Who receives information?
The enquiry form uses FormSubmit to send the details you enter to Zac’s email inbox, hosted by Google. The site is hosted through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare; hosting providers may process IP addresses, request details and security logs to deliver and protect the service. Client galleries are provided through Pixieset where applicable. Information is shared with service providers as needed to deliver these functions, rather than for sale to advertisers.
These providers may process information outside the UK. Applicable protections depend on the provider and service, including adequacy decisions or contractual safeguards where required. Contact Zac for more information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry or booking.
How long is information kept?
Client photographs are stored on hard drives for up to ten years. Enquiries are held in email; historically, these have not been routinely deleted. You may contact Zac about an older enquiry or request its deletion. Other information is kept for as long as needed for the agreed service and applicable record-keeping or dispute requirements. The appropriate period depends on whether you book, the type of records and any legal obligation. You can ask about the retention period for your particular records or request deletion; some records may need to be retained for legal reasons.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Contact Zac to make a request; identity checks may be needed. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Cookies and device storage
This site uses a local preference named zac-cookie-choice-v1 to remember your cookie choice in this browser for six months. It is necessary to remember that choice and is not used for advertising. Hosting and owner sign-in services may use necessary security or session storage. No analytics or advertising tracker has been added to this website.
Optional embedded video: YouTube is blocked until you choose “Accept optional cookies” or “Allow YouTube videos”. Once allowed, YouTube receives information such as your IP address and device details and may use cookies or similar storage, including its own identifiers. The player uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain, but enabling it still connects to Google/YouTube. See Google’s privacy policy. Videos may start muted when scrolled into view after permission is given, subject to your browser and reduced-motion preference.
You can reject optional cookies and still browse the photographs, read pages and send an enquiry. Use at any time to change your choice. Rejecting stops further embedded-video loading; cookies already stored by YouTube may need to be removed in your browser settings. Choices apply to this browser and website address.
Links to Instagram, Facebook, Pixieset, YouTube and other external websites open services with their own privacy and cookie policies. They are not loaded as social widgets here. Fonts and photographs are served from this website.
